Dinner for a special friend

Tomorrow I am cooking dinner for a friend Brian's who also happens to be a fellow blogger. I'm a bit nervous. This blogger is very articulate, has great grammar and knack for the art of witty criticism. I want to make something that this critic will like. A recipe that reflects the season. Something that will make those who eat it feel toasty and warm (with not too much fat, sodium or sugar). Remember I am 30 weeks pregnant and thus far have gained about 40 pounds! I am looking for a recipe that doesn't require much effort in case he hates it.  Hmmmm.... And for dessert... Chocolate a la Dulax.

  1. I have a great recipe for Stuffed Acorn Squash that I could give you. Not sure if his friend likes squash or not. Can't go wrong roasting some veggies (butternut squash, carrots, onions, zucchini) with garlic, olive oil, s&p and some agave nectar. I also roast diced red potatoes and sweet potatoes with the same marinade. You can pair that with just about any kind of protein. It's a nice seasonal meal.
